PLYMOUTH, WI: December 19, 2016 – The Sheboygan County Home Builders Association have presented the most prestigious awards given annually by this group to three of its members. The award ceremony took place at the recent Christmas Celebration held at the Sheboygan Yacht Club. The Builder and Associate Member of the Year awards were presented along with the Rising Star and President’s award.
Mike Werner, American Dream Builders of Sheboygan County LLC, was awarded Builder Member of the Year with Jan Koepsell, Expedition Log Homes, being honored as the Associate Member of the Year. The Rising Star Award and the President’s Award was presented to Justin Fink, Trademark Builders LLC.
Candidates for these awards are nominated by their peers. Involvement & participation in the association, support of the home building industry in the community and contributions of time, and talents of the nominees are reviewed to determine the winners from the nominated candidates.
Werner, earning the Builder Member of the Year Award, currently serves on the Parade of Homes Committee, Spring Tour of Homes Committee, Builder Bash Committee, Finance Committee, currently the Association President and also a past recipient of the Rising Star Award. Mike and his wife Jane reside in Sheboygan.
Associate Member of the Year is a third time honoree. Jan Koepsell of Expedition Log Homes, has served as chair of the Membership Committee, Finance Committee and is currently serving as the Past President. Jan and her husband Steve, reside in Plymouth.
A fairly new award was presented again this year to recognize another class of members. The “Rising Star Award” is given to recognize a member with the group less than 5 years that has given of their time and talents to assist in the betterment of the association. Justin Fink, Trademark Builders, LLC, was presented with this honor for his service during the past year. Justin is currently serving on the board of directors and the Home Expo Committee. Justin, his wife and their two children reside in Plymouth
The President of the group consistently receives support during his/her term. The President’s Award is presented to recognize those services. There are no criteria for this award and, is solely presented to recognize someone that is deserving. This year Justin Fink, Trademark Builders, LLC, was recognized for providing support and dedication to the association and its mission over the past year. “Justin is an enthusiastic supporter of new ideas and programs,” commented Jan Koepsell presenting the award. “He worked on several committees and supported the Association by participating as an exhibitor in both the Home Expo and the new for 2016 Spring Tour of Homes,” she continued.
The Sheboygan County Home Builders Association is an active professional trade association consisting of over 110 member firms contributing to enhance the building industry in the greater Sheboygan area. This group sponsors the Home Builders Expo and Spring Tour of Homes held in spring and the Parade of Homes held each fall.
